Description: TREM-1 is a transmembrane receptor protein involved in monocytic activation and in the inflammatory response. It is expressed on the surface of neutrophils, mature monocytes and macrophages. The expression of the soluble form of TREM-1 increases during sepsis and can therefore be used as a biological marker for septic shock. RANDOX recombinant sTREM-1 comprises a 180 amino acid fragment (21-200) corresponding to mature soluble extracellular domain fragment of TREM-1 and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
