| Description: |
Pyruvate kinase is a key enzyme in the glycolytic
pathway. The M2 isoenzyme of pyruvate kinase is
specifically expressed at high levels in tumour cells, and
can be measured in plasma of patients with advanced
breast cancer. The marker is useful for measuring
disease activity, sensitivity to chemotherapy and
recurrence.
RANDOX recombinant human M2PK is expressed in E.
coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This
product is for research use only and is not intended for
diagnostic or therapeutic use.
