Human Recombinant Protein Specification

Description: Interleukin-6 is a potent pro-inflammatory cytokine primarily produced by activated T cells and an assortment of other cells including endothelial cells and macrophages. IL-6 affects B and T lymphocytes and has been shown to have a role in host defence, acute phase reactions, immune responses and hematopoiesis. RANDOX recombinant Interleukin-6 comprises a 184 amino acid fragment (29-211) corresponding to the mature Interleukin-6 protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
