Human Recombinant Protein Specification

Description: Fatty acid binding proteins are a family of small, highly conserved, cytoplasmic proteins (14-15kDa) that bind long chain fatty acids, their CoA derivatives, billiruben, organic anions and other small hydrophobic molecules. L-FABP (or FABP-1) is found predominantly in liver and is believed to be involved in the regulation of lipid transport and metabolism and is required for cholesterol synthesis and metabolism. RANDOX recombinant L-FABP comprises a 127 amino acid fragment (1-127) corresponding to the human liver FABP protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
Form: Liquid. Supplied in 1x Laemmli Buffer (25mM Tris-HCl pH6.8, 50mM DTT, 1% (w/v) SDS, 0.1% (w/v) Bromophenol Blue, 2.5% Glycerol).
Purity: Single band on Western blot.
