| Description: |
Fatty acid-binding proteins (FABPs), such as B-FABP, are a group of low-molecular weight cytosolic proteins involved in the solubilization and transport of fatty acids. Together with the heart-type fatty acid-binding proteins (H-FABP), B-FABP is released into serum after acute ischaemic stroke and is used as an early marker for the diagnosis of stroke. RANDOX recombinant human B-FABP comprises a 132aa polypeptide (1-132) corresponding to the full-length protein and is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
