Carbonic anhydrase III is one of a group of ten zinc metalloenzymes that catalyse the reversible hydration of CO2 to form HCO3 -. CAIII is a cytoplasmic isoenzyme, but is released into the circulation following injury. RANDOX recombinant human CAIII is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. This product is for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
